originally hired Speedy Movers as my moving company but never got information of change to substitute company Classic Van Lines. The job was to move my furniture from Nashville, TN to Henderson, NV. When the first movers arrived on 5/11/15 they changed my quoted price($1,660) even though the route had the exact number of items. By the time they got to the payment part all of my stuff was already on the truck. At that point, they did not allow me to change my mind. I payed them with a credit card and confirmed once again it was okay to pay with credit (Price changed to $2,319). My initial contact (Adar Levi Moving Consultant 1-80*-235-**** Ext. 101 with Classic Van lines) even told me over the phone that they were speedy movers and was told that I could use a credit card for the entire move. The Classic Van Lines collected 20 boxes of goods packed by myself including 2 picture boxes. Delivery items were my living room coffee table, my two living room end tables(both damaged), tv stand, arm chair, Sofa, three dining chairs, desk, night stand glass table top dining room table (was not delivered at delivery, had to call truck back),My blue bedroom end table (did not break down) twin bed mattress and box, black small chest (trunk),dresser with mirror, end table, queen bed frames (head and footboard) and mattress/ box spring. I had a hard time with the company from then on. I got a call on the day before the mover were to arrive and they told me to have the rest of my payment in cash, I told the truck driver I already paid. He said he would call the company and confirm payment and call me back. He never called me back but arrived the next day at 11 am. When they got here they refused to bring the furniture up stairs which in the contract it said they will move up one flight of stairs. When brought my furniture they left it on the lawn and refused until I paid the $77 fee. So I paid once again through Adar Levi, then they guys were rude to me and keep yelling at me until he got the money and conformation from the company. He and his team ( 4 of them in total) brought the furniture in. and set it up. They brought in boxes and quickly to things up and rushed me to sign the paper to say that everything was there and did not give me a chance to count my items. They left and I noticed right away that my glass table top was not delivered and I called the moving truck and asked about it and he said it wasn't there and he would have to look. Then he found it and asked me to come and pick it up from their storage unit and I said no I paid you guys to delivery everything. They delivered my table top 1 hr later. Over the next few days I went through all of my belongings and noticed that I was missing a box of kitchenware, as well as my blue end table, and my trunk of shoes. From that day on I began calling the company every day for my belonging. I called left messages, and they ignored my calls until finally Adar said she would talk to the people in Atlanta to look for my missing Items. A day later I called to asked if they found they and she said that I would just have to file a claim. The did not even attempt to locate my missing Items. I told her to please continue looking for them and they ignored my calls. I called ( 1 800 number) again for the last time on 6/12/15 and asked again, and the one guy said again that he would look for them and get back with me and they still haven't. Six months later still nothing...

I has to pay much more than I was quoted. Every one was rude. Truck was very late picking up my stuff. If you have a long distance move, go with someone else.

I learned a very important lesson when it comes to slecting a mover for our household items. First mistake : Letting them give me an estimate based on a phone inventory. Second mistake: Falling or their sweet talking gentman ales person that assured me they would make our move from Colorado to Nebraska a worry free event. Third mistake : when the packers arrived we were immediately told that our belongins far exceeded whathad been estimate and it ended up costing us 50% more than the estimate. Fourth mistake was even letting them them start to load a truck that could only haul 1800 CF which was what the phone estimate was. They loaded the first truck then had a second truck standing by for the balance. They loaded out on a Friday and had promised delivery on Mnday which they did on the first full truck17 days later they delivered the balance. One of the contingiencies with seledting them was that once loaded I did not want any unloading and reloading to another truck. This did not happen and it arrived the 17 days later on a truck the size they should have used in the first place. On the later delivered items there was a substantial number of items damaged and now 2 months later we have not hear anything about the claim we filed. On the loading out they had 4 people handling that. When th first truck arrive they only had the driver and one other person to handle everything including several large and heavy items. When the second load came there was just a driver and he had to hire 2 local high school age boys to help him. Actually the local boys were very good and were very courteaous and hard workers. IF YOU WANT A CLASSIC SNOW JOB CALL CLASSIC VAN LINES. Most importantly do not go for the over the phone estimate, have an agent do a physical walk through or you too could get a classic screwing.

Ok . My night mare has just started by doing business with classic van line. They were behind my life to book a service and once booked they don't care. Have spoken to Josh, Jay , julie everyone and they were sweet at first. They charged me 500$ more than what quote said while picking up things. During the delivery I was charged again 150 for 12 stairs inside the house. But when had taken a service I paid 400$ for packers to just pack n unpack things. Again I was charged for stairs even though they said it's included. My total bill came up to $ 2300 from$ 1600 quote. They don't bother to call u back and when I called them this guy "TIM said just pay the guys and send them ". As if it's free money.he was so rude and demanding. They have also damaged my fan & mirror. They were super sweet at first and during the process they don't care. Trust me.save your self and run from this company -classic van line.
